In the CJ:
If I put the rudder pedals full left or full right and squeeze the brake handle I hear the brake system fill and then all the noises stop.
If I put the rudder pedals to the middle position and squeeze, there's an on-going pneumatic noise that I'm not quite able to describe.
Probably means my QS-2 brake metering valve is in need of TLC, yes? I see that there's an overhaul kit for it... is that something that takes well to an overhaul or best to just get a whole new valve?

Yes. Order the rebuild kit from Doug. Shouldn't need a new one unless it's horribly corroded.

Jon. It is an easy job. Just resealed mine. Just be careful when you take it apart so you can put the parts back in the correct position internally. Removing it from Acft , unscrew both air lines from valve remove two bolts and it comes right of airplane. Same to reinstall. I think Doug Sapp has the seal kits. I also inSTALLED a new drain valve in the snot bottle in the belly that is associated with the brake system. Have fun. Gary. CJ N22YK. LAS
