This initiative has the agreement and blessing of Ivan Shaw.
Neville Eyre was a leading light in the Europa fraternity and all of us who met him or 'phoned him for advice, know that he was generous with his advice and willingness to help. Furthermore whenever we visited him at his modest home to deliver or fetch Europa items, he and Carole were warm and very hospitable.
You can be sure that Carole will need all of our help to get her through this difficult time, which is why this crowd funding account has been set up using the link shown below. Europa Club treasurer Nigel Graham advised me on how to go about this, but for those of you who would rather make a donation differently, please PM me and I'll give you other account details.
Nigel has kindly agreed to act as auditor of this initiative and will have full access to all records of funds to ensure that all of your donations go to the intended recipient, Carole. Any such donations received will be acknowledged and you will be kept advised of progress on this forum.
The appeal has been initiated by my wife Sheila Gray using her Facebook account.
Please give generously and also please help this appeal to "go viral" in whatever way you can.
Thank you.

Well done Jonathan! Nev was much too generous for his own good charging hourly rates a small fraction of what his skills deserved. David Joyce, GXSDJ

For over 20 years Nev contributed so much. His cowls are works of art, and when I collected mine from his modest facility in N Yorks in Feb, he seemed in fine form.
He was enjoying performing yet another miracle, getting a Europa back into the air.
The whole Europa community is in his debt, and this is a great idea to help his family at a time when they need help. Thanks for doing this Jonathan.

Tonight 23rd May the JustGiving website seems to have crashed, but please don't let this deter you from donating once it's back on line. We're making great progress and have reached almost a third of the target in one day.
From what others have written, it is clear that either directly or indirectly Nev has benefitted many of us.
Thanks again.

Many thanks to all of you for such a superb response. There are about 3 weeks left before this appeal closes, when JustGiving will pay in your donations less a small percentage directly to The Europa Club bank account. Even if only a little more comes in, Carole should receive at least £3000 after charges.
If you use the JustGiving link below, you'll be able to see that as I write this the total stands at 105% of our initial target. Good to know that their system allows for a continuation.
We can't thank you enough!

Just to say that the Europa Club Committee fully endorse this appeal and are happy to handle the funds collected to ensure that they get to Carole. We all consider Nev to have been a key part of the development of the Europa, a great friend and unstinting supporter of the Europa community for many years and a great guy.

What a fantastic response, which has resulted in the total raised reaching £3920! Another kind soul sent £50 directly to the Europa Club bank account, so we're very nearly at £4000.
We've been notified by JustGiving that this crowd funding page will close on 21st June. Another couple of hundred would take care of the card charges and JustGiving's very small administration fee, leaving £4000 to give to Carole.
