In the process of having props balanced.
The guy doing the balance is using a Aces system and is unable to get a complete reading. Keeps timing out and saying check wind or other maintenance items.
Reading is consistently .38 - .40 on screen until it pukes out.
Thoughts?

One of the first things to check is the length of the reflective tape and the distance of the tape to the optical pickup. The greater the distance the long the Tape must be. If too short, it will give errors or erratic RPM readings. The next thing is to check to verify that nothing is flapping in front of the optical sensor while at cruise power. This could cause the same issues as above. lastly verify that the vibration sensor is attached to the front mounting bolts of the "pumpkin" as far FWD as possible. If all else fails, I would say the Ace machine is out of call or broke.
