Hoping for advice on my 52TW fuel system. My right main tank fuel level drops much more quickly and constantly than the left main tank. Have to skid/bank too often to try to level. Thinking it sounds like a left tank check valve problem but haven't had a yak long. Appreciate any advice/ thx

Hi there,

Another brethren from the Top Hemisphere!

I am having the same trouble with my Yak-52, except it was the right tank that wasn't feeding. I found the right hand fuel tank breather blocked.

The easiest way I found of testing it was to loosen the tank caps and blowing the lines through with compressed air. Be careful to ensure the tank caps are loose before you try this though, otherwise you might burst the fuel tank.

Once I have replaced the 90 degree elbow that was cracked on the air regulator manifold check valve I will be able to test fly him to see if I have cured the fuel issue.

Of course, your issue could be that the nose wheel is at the wrong end?

Let me know how you get on, and if I track down an elbow and fly first I will do likewise.

Cheers
Chris

Typically, it is a venting problem.
