|
|
Hi team
I would like to know if the weights installed during the build on the elevators and rudder need to be adjusted?
I ask this question on the basis of, do I go ahead and install the tip fairings on this control surfaces using the pop rivets indicated, or do I for platenuts?
Your advice would be greatly appreciated please.
Warm regards

You should be good to close it up, if built to plans. If you are adding weight to the control surface (trim servo, more than normal paint, ...) you may want to hold off on closing it in. Balance info comes with the final kit, iiirc.

FWIW, I used nutplates for all the f/g tips. That way you can remove for paint or repair in the case of hanger rash.
As sure as God made little green apples, when you make something difficult to remove, you will want to remove it.
Just saying...
