I have an Archer antenna in mounted in the right wingtip of my RV-6A connected to a SL-30 and it works great. I am receiving VOR's 100 miles out. I took great pains to follow the install instructions and make sure it was well grounded at the wingtip. Also be certain your coax connector is installed cleanly with no stray wire that might short out.

Does anyone have experience installing an Archer Comm antenna in an RV4 wingtip?I'm
considering the Archer Model 1A and have concerns that it will fit properly.

Have Archer antenna in wingtip of RV7A since 2008 with great VOR performance. Just follow instructions.
