To those in the USA…..has anyone had any experience with a pilot with a 3rd class medical getting a partial retinal detachment that is well away from the normal field of vision? Followed by a laser procedure to â€śtack weld” the retina to prevent any further detachment. Does this ailment or repair procedure nullify a current medical or effect a pilot’s legal ability to fly if there are no symptoms or vision impairment? Are there any steps that need to be followed.
