What sort of rpm. Should be expected at take off with a 914 Turbo at the beginning of the take off run and in the climb. Thanks in advance.

I get 5800 with Air master controlled prop. I cut back to 5500 once couple hundred feet in the air. The max rpm set in the prop hub.

Phil,
Do you have a fixed pitch or contact speed prop?
My 914 with Airmaster constant speed prop will reach 5800 rpm (max allowed) on takeoff.

If turbo not kicking in, the manifold pressure only goes up to about 27 inches and rpm to about 5000. Usual boosted pressure 40 inches
