The categories I'm familiar with within the Standard are:
Normal, good for maneuvers up to +3.8/-1.52
Utility, +4.4/-1.76
Acrobatic, +6.0/-3.0
That would put the CJ-6 in the Acrobatic category at 3086 lbs, more for the Utility and forget about the Normal since it is the maneuvering and speed loads that dictate the the ratings described in 23.3. Thus operating a CJ-6 at weights above 3086 requires lower G loads to stay in the "envelope".
