12mm fuel hoses at the elecrical fuel pumps Rotax 914?

Hello friends,



my Europa is currently in the workshop of a friend to get new fuel hoses. My friend owns a Rotax 912 powered Monowheel, thus is not familiar with the 914 fuel system. While removing the hoses he discovered one piece of 12mm braided hose close to the fuel pumps (see attached picture). In the 914 installation manual on the Europa website I can identify a “reducer HFRP 8-12” before the pumps. 



So my question is, whether this 12mm pieces just connect the 8mm hoses before the fuel pumps via the reducer to a 12mm inlet in the fuel pumps?



It’s the first time work is conducted on my fuel system sice I’ve bought my Europa second hand. 



Oh, and while I'm at it. There seems to be no additional reducer in the return line between the fuel regulator and the tank, correct?
