Got Miss P'fer out of the hanger, brushed off the big lumps, cleaned the windshield, and flew 11.3 miles from Gantt International Airport to 08A, Wetumpka Airport.
Ribs were good, plus I brought home a slab for $10. We always cook too much so we can take some home.
Lots of old folks and two airplanes, mine and a Falco based at 08A. My chapter doesn't do a lot of flying.
One of the guys rebuilding a Stinson from the ground up, loaned me some Polytak to repair a finish tape that has pulled loose on the fuselage a foot or so in front of the prop. I'll clean it with MEK, and stick it back together. Then put a new sticker over it. Be good as new.
Got to put in an insurance claim for rodent damage again. SOB ate my seats and the foam rubber stick grip, plus a lot of foam I was using in the rear of the fuselage in an attempt to reduce noise. Don't think it helped much.

John, I hear ya on that tape pulling loose on the fuselage ahead of the prop. In my case, it also pulled the fabric away from the diagonal longeron. When I fixed the tape, I also used some GOOP inside on either side of the diagonal to secure the fabric back to it, have not had any more trouble.

I have a couple fuselage longerons that are concave. I rib stitched those
longerons, blind on the inside because the fuel tank was right up close to
the longerons. Only rib stitching I have ever done.
I'll cement the tape back with Polytak, then slap a big sticker over it. Be
like brand new.
Of course, the hard part is first, removal of an old sticker that has grown
onto the fabric.

Did you modify them to fit your gas tank? Inquiring minds want to know...

We didn't modify them, we fabricated them where there were none in the
original plans or fuselage.
There was a couple feet of one longeron each side that was from zero to
maybe a 1/4" gap and back to zero. I was afraid, if I didn't rib stitch,
the fabric would drum and destroy itself, being that close in front of the
prop. Rib stitching worked. Oh, and I haven't had any of my stitches
loosen up. Still got my fingers crossed.
