Millie and I are planning to do a LONG trip out west in our KIS4 during the October 2018 time frame. As of today, subject to change, we plan on stopping near Houston, El Paso, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Dallas and New Orleans. Of course all of this is weather permitting. If anyone lives "near" or between one of these areas let me know. We might be able to stop in, say "Hi" and see your KIS.

Galin
You know that I am in the Dallas area and Lancaster is a good stopping place. Hopefully by October my plane will be finished and airborne. Got my engine back a couple of weeks ago and even though it had been out and not as well stored as it should have been for the last 15 years, it was in good shape and no rust anywhere. I was very lucky. They tore it down completely, inspected everything, cleaned and replaced all seals and gaskets. I am now trying to get the wiring, exhaust, and fuel system installed. There should be a book on what needs to be installed before everything else. Seems like I try to install something only to find out that I needed to install some other part before that. So you take it off, and try again.
I might be retired but finding time and money are still an issue. Not to mention temperatures in the 100's that are unbearable.
Look forward to seeing you.

If you are going to Phoenix, I keep my KIS TR1 at KSJN, Saint johns, AZ. It is about 150 air
miles North East of Falcon Field, KFFZ, Which is in Mesa, AZ. KSJN has some of the best fuel prices in the area, also a free courtesy car etc,
I have flown to Falcon field in less than an hour and also Albuquerque, NM in about an hour
