Made a video of my first hrs.
So far I am really enjoying this airplane, warbird feel, and flies great.

They were included when I bought the airplane.
I dont have experience with Nanchangs before, but an experienced CJ 6 pilot flew with me and told me this airplane stalled at slower speeds than his.
The documentation I got with the airplane about the post VGs tests said it reduced the stall speed , gave better roll authority and improved spin recovery.
I do have Vgs and really like them for bush flying in my 182, better roll authority at slow speeds, more elevator authority when landing slow (have them under the horizontal stab too) they do really do their magic in my 182 so I am a fan.
Here is an example of how they work in my 182.

Handsome CJ!
I may have missed it in the video, but get into the habit of moving the gear latch to the right when putting the gear down. More than one person has accidentally knocked the gear handle up with a knee or foot when exiting the cockpit.
Doug Sapp awarded me my first “Bone” at All Red Star 15 or 16 years ago when he inspected my cockpit and found the gear unlatched.😩
Best wishes.

Have not been doing that until landing and taxing, better to lock it as soon as gear its down.
Thanks for the tip.
