Gentlemen,
Noted recently that my (CJ) intercom sounds like it is always on.
"Feels' like my headset has become permanently voice activated.
This is an issue only in flight (noise related?).
Concurrently, head-set volume appears to have dropped off.
I have tried with different headsets, removed one connect then the other, and repeatedly pressed the PTT switch on the throttle to no avail.
Squelch setting on the radio changes very little.
I do NOT have a separate intercom like a PS 1200.
Are there any known issues with malfunctioning intercom switches etc on CJs or is my radio toast?
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil;
Are you using the original Chinese intercom system? If so maybe the switch
in the rear cockpit has been left on.
Just a guess since this entire system is part of the 295 lbs. of elec.
equipment and wiring, etc. I remove and discard at each CJ restoration.
As a result I have no knowledge of the system operation.
