So having planned the route up through central america....
Can anyone share knowledge about the best routes/airports round the gulf of mexico. Im starting at Brownsville and want to end up at 04FA just north of KTMB.
Also any gotchas.

Will,
I use AirNav, http://www.airnav.com/fuel/
Under the fuel tab I can select the type fuel I want and the distance I want to fly between stops. It will give you several routes and you can then get the airport information for each airport. I look at the user comments to judge FBOs.
I have a small write up on the Europa Club website about flight planning in the US, look under Flying tab.
