My airplane (Yak-55) used to have an ADC oil filter installed and it was removed by the previous owner. There is now a hole in the dash from where the warning lamp used to be and also the factory oil chip detector is INOP. My best guess from the troubleshooting I have done so far is that the factory wire going from the sensor to the lamp has been cut as I have found some cut wires with shrink end caps on them (behind the dash). The chip detector assembly itself and wire going into the firewall are good. Is anyone familiar with these and does anyone know what a typical install involves? Would like to fix the factory lamp functionality.
