I read a bunch of past discussions about fresh air mods. They were probably 10 years ago or more. People were discussing either using the Naca Vents on the fuselage or left wing fresh air vents routed to the cockpit. Some also talked a little about ram air from behind the gills.
From what I read I came away with the fact that no matter what you do you’re trying to increase the pressure inside the cockpit so it will not take in fumes from the engine while also bringing in fresh air for cooling. This will allow you to not get so fatigued on long cross-country flights.
Since my airplane is stripped down and awaiting paint, this is the time for me to make any mods that I want to address this issue. What is the current thoughts on this and do people have any pictures of the mods they have done or seen? I especially would like to see pictures of the left-wing fresh air vent system.
However, any mod done to the skin or attached of the CJ would be good to see.
I should also have mentioned that I have the extended exhaust tips and also smoke on the airplane.
Thanks,
SAM
