I have just commenced build work on my XS wings, and have found that the
spanwise stiffener on the underside of the Port wing closure panel does
not line up with the rebates in the ribs, causing the skin to sit too
high and preventing a bond to the ribs, see spanwise photo. What have
others done who have been through this issue?
Many thanks,
Brian Phillips

Hi Brian
There is a fix for this. It may be on the LAA website of the Europa club website.
Regards
Richard

Brian, looks like the stiffener has been bonded to the wrong side if the marked line. EUROPA might (should ) be able to sort this out.
Dear old Nev would have cut it off and re bonded in the correct position but if EUROPA cannot help, Andy Draper at LAA HQ will know the way to proceed.

Hi Brian
Have a look at the Tech Info on the Europa website:
http://www.europa-aircraft.co.uk/updates/
Service Bulletin 8 addresses this problem.
It is also worth having a browse through the Tech Talk section. There is a lot of good information that addresses a lot of the 'little anomolies' you will come across as you progress through your build.
Lots of good information on the Europa Club website if you are a member.
