Hi Guys
I've been given a batch of these connectors, does anyone know any details, do they get squeezed (the metal connector is quit strong, but if so what squeezer is used) or they for soldering - the wire size is about 20/22awg.
Regards
John

John
Those are not connectors.
The upper ones are crimping butt splicers, to join 2 wires by crimping them.
The lower ones are heat-shrink splicers, to join wires by inserting them inside and apply heat till they shrink and hold the wires

John,
They are a type of butt splice. See RS part no 712-2359 or TE Connectivity
6-1195131-3. If the stripes are red they are for 22 to 20awg (or possibly
18awg) wire. The heat shrink goes over one of the wires, then crimp on the
metal part to each wire. An open side crimper is required, such as
https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/products/4445693/, but they can be
expensive...
They are smaller diameter than the conventional PIDG butt splice.
