I've heard good things about Pacific Oil.
I don't understand the comment from Cliff about the by-pass valve being stuck open. That being said, I do have a lot of respect for Cliff and George Coy! They know this engine much better than myself.
That being said, my point is that the by-pass valve is there in case the oil cooler fails...as in clogs up.... as in the pressure builds because of a clogged oil cooler the by-pass valve then opens and the oil BY-PASSES (!!!) the cooler.
So when the by-pass valve opens, you are operating without an oil cooler. When it closes, oil flows THROUGH the cooler.
So how would a by-pass valve being stuck open cause COOLER OIL ??? It should cause MUCH MUCH hotter oil.
I must be missing something here.
