I tried the Lightspeeds, Zulu 3 , and then the Bose A 20s.
If I turn on the ANR is too loud and noisy, I can barely hear anything above the noise, only way to be able to hear is with ANR turned off.
Anyone else experienced this?

I use the A20s in my CJ. Never had a problem hearing, but they go through batteries like there is no tomorrow.

Maybe my audio panel is the issue.

Myself, I use Clarity Alofts. Been using them for 10 years. They are not noise cancelling but weigh 2 oz, foam ear buds that conform to your ear canals and don't need batteries. I put them on and put my helmet over them as the frame assembly fits behind your neck. Check them out if your going to Sun n fun or Oshkosh. They may even have a 30 day try for free but not sure. My wife loves her. Doesn't mess up her hair and no head clamp pain.
