To their credit, a tech from Lord called me just now. (6 am Phx time.)
They recommend the J-7402-16 for the (early) Glasair. (See end note.)
That mount does NOT have a rubber isolator on the spacer.
As for the puck I found in the hangar that was stamped J-7401-8 - That number is a sub-assembly number for the J-7402-16 !
Very confusing!
Anyway, that's the answer tot his question.
I've put it here for posterity so that other Glasair owners can find it in the future.
BTW, this is for the EARLY Glasair I kits with the smaller first run mounts.
I helped a guy build a GlI SuperStretch and his metal engine mount had larger receptacles for the rubber engine mounts. (I believe Van's Aircraft use the bigger pucks too.)
So at some point in time after the Glasair I kit, Stoddard Hamilton/New Glasair switched to larger mounts.
