Any operators on this list ?
i suppose if people fly it without vanes they don't have problem controlling CHT ?
or are there issues and you'd wish you had those vanes ?
need to decide on configuration and would appreciate your advise off the list

TWs had no vanes on the front and have electric and air start. The back of the cowl has flaps that control airflow by opening or closing the outflow. Marginal effectiveness and other cooling issues with Oil and CHT were problems on TW. Happy to talk if you want to directly.

Not ALL TW's had electric start. (Electric start TW's are considered
"woosy Yak's). But all exhibit exactly what Herb describes.

Haha - my electric starter failed. I used air for 2 years. Then I ran out of air at Manitowoc and watched Sergei hand prop the M14P. I replaced the starter.
