I have a rebuilt souped up 210 HP Lycoming with a blended foil prop with a custom 4 to one exhaust designed constructed by a former NASCAR mechanic and used a variety of lord mounts and found that the engine sagged with some. My former NASCAR engine builder suggested using a larger diameter engine mount used on 200HP Piper and we had to hack saw off 3/8ths off the forward part of the the bottom of the forward facing laminated washer to clear the crank case. He found he couldn't use the spacer washers because when using them the bolt holes wouldn't line up and as a result the engine sits right on the laminated engine mount washers. That mount I now use also pushes the engine forward another 1/8 of an inch. I also found using larger 200HP Piper mounts are firmer and prevents the engine from hitting the cowling on start ups and shut downs. As a side note: my engine builder suggested removing my King Radio stack and replace it with a single Garmin and to use the extra space to install a large mount for an IPad with Foreflight softwear and a Scout ADSB-In for a few hundred dollars. Where the Glide slopes once were I installed a back up Garmin GPS. He suggested waiting until the eleventh hour before installing ADSB-Out when he feels it will be far less expensive. Our Garmin radio now does far more than all our former very expensive radio stack did and we removed close to 55 pounds of weight.
