I’m just trying to figure out if the numbers I have for my airplane are correct. It seems that I have a very high main wheel load for the left and right sides. My nose wheel load looks accurate at 610 lbs for my M-14B motor.

When I received my airplane the weight and balance sheet that was used shows 1185 pounds for the left main and 1150 pounds for the right man. This was calculated with the original paint and all of the avionics removed from the bay. This seems to be approximately 200 pounds more per side than the average weight and balance numbers I have seen for other CJ-6A’s.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

SAM

Actually, thats about 300 lbs extra each side... I'd re-weigh your airplane.

See, that looks about right. Do you have the Housai?

Is it possible that they weighed the plane with full tanks and a guy sitting in it and didn’t subtract that out. It would be 30 gallons in each wing with a 200 lb guy in the airplane and that would equal the extra 300 lbs per side.
