I need one!

Anyone got one I can beg, borrow, steal or even buy? Actually. I prefer the latter.

If you have a torch, you can make your own, using a box end wrench and long extension. I have used a 9/16" base wrench for Lyc, & Cont. with some success.

This cylinder base wrench is a lovely work of art.  It looks great in one's tool box.  'Essential if one ever needs to remove/install a cylinder...

Very good looking tool and sorely needed!

I have been welding nuts on the Chinese and Russian ones for years in order
to measure torque. I have also for some years been advocating a torque
value based on an evaluation of stud size and thread form as compared to the
Pratt & Whitney. In this I have assumed an equivalent material strength
which I firmly believe is a valid assumption.

As a result I been advocating a torque value of 300 to 320 lb/in (25 to 26.6
lb/ft.) LUBRICATED. It is heartening to finally see an "official" value
published, particularly when it seems to validate my own. I was not aware
of Termikas and I could find nothing in any of the M14 documents that I
could locate.

Only question I have is "does Termikas specify dry or lubed?" Just
curious, for me it will remain "lubed".

The next crusade here may be to throw away the torque robbing tab washers
and replace with P&W Palnuts for safety??

Cheers;
Walt
