Wing Skin Advice Needed

Gentleman,



As I was skinning the inboard section of my starboard wing last week, I failed to notice where the skins contact ribs 4 and 5 on the bottom side did not bond properly. 



I realized where my error was and did not have any problems with the remaining leading edge skins.. I have the wooden skins. 



I am seeking advice on the best method to get the skin to bond to these rib sections??

My original thought is to drill two holes  over the voids and squeeze in the micro. After completing that,I will tape them down properly for a good contact and curing. 



Any thoughts, words of wisdom, or guidance will, as always be valued tremendously.

Clyde,

How large are the areas where it is not bonded?The problem with such a "repair" is that the surfaces would have to be sanded before it could get a good bond, and if it is not accessible, that is not possible. What you suggested would maybe fill the void, but not bond properly.

The only way to fix it correctly would be to cut out the skin in the problem area and scarf in a new piece. 

But:  if the area is small, I would just leave it alone (only for ribs, not for spar), or just fill the voids.

On  leading edge rib number 3, there is approximately 3 to 4 inches on the bottom side that did not bond. On leading edge rib number 4 there is approximately 2 to 3 inches on bottom that did not adhere properly.

Sonya, the high load area of the wing is inboard. What part of that load is placed on the leading edge? Also, since is is not formed to the rib, what impact will that have?
