I may be repeating knowledge already well known but I didn't know.
After getting my prop back from overhaul by Sensenich I couldn't get the front spinner plate
to align with the spinner. It is attached to the prop dome with 4 capscrews. It seemed that the
dome had to be rotated slightly. The Sensenich rep said no don't do that. The problem
is that the dome is screwed on and torqued and so doesn't return to the same position it
was in when you drilled the holes. He says this is a common problem with some Pipers.
The Sensenich solution is to make the holes in the plate into slots. This is what I did.
Another solution is to just make a new spinner plate. It only means installing 6 nutplates.
