Good day Wladimir,
While not too popular due to the shorter stance, I used the Grove one piece aluminum gear leg with the Bob Berube mounting system. But I believe that after a recent discussion with Bud Yerly, the aluminum channel portion of the mount is no longer available. So these two mounts would have to be fabricated from aluminum plate. Dimensions are available, as are the install instructions, if you decide to go this route.
As for handling, just like any taildragger, when landing, you must fly it all the way to the tiedown. Takeoffs take a lot of small quick adjustments (the toe dance) in order to maintain runway centerline and control. In the air there is no effect.
