Hi Group In process of wiring at the moment. Question: When soaring (motor off) at an uncontrolled field in the US do I need to keep Mode C transponder and ADS-B on? Thx. Ron P.

Probably depends on the airspace you are in. Class C on up I think the answer is yes.

An answer could be to buy a bigger battery or invest in solar cells, PV.  The safety improvement derived from EC devices outweights the operational issues?
