Darren, why the one-seater? I am grappling with Firestar vs MkIII Xtra, but my
wife was not keen on flying in my former C182, and I think the view from a Kolb
would freak her out. I'm thinking MK3Xtra just for my size (6'3" and 230 lbs).

Paul,
The Ms doesn't enjoy flying as much as I do. I have had the MK3 Extra kit in the barn 10 years and it's still in nearly the same state of build when I got it. I've had Ms in the house for nearly the same amount of time and after going over the pros and cons we decided it would be best to sell the MK3 kit and I keep flying the FS1.
I have it listed locally on Craigslist, soon on Facebook Marketplace and E-bay. Details follow. Anyone interested??
Fly safe, Darren, Central MI.
KOLB MK3 EXTRA KIT, Serial # M3X 00-2-00004. Early model. Experimental light sport. Has separate flaps/ailerons. Steel parts are factory powder coat white. Dual controls. Nearly at quick build stage, needs one flap finished, wing tips finished, and all flying surfaces are finished and will need covering and paint. Has paperwork, prints and manual. Decent used wheels, tires, disc brakes. (No Master Cylinder/s), nuts, bolts, rivets, 2- 5 gallon fuel tanks, streamline strut fairings and hardware. I believe most parts are included but not 100% sure, I never did a thorough inventory when I bought it. No covering, no paint, no engine, no instruments and no prop included.
