Alternator problem, a month ago, got the red light warning of alt not charging, was just after take off, so landed.
The breaker went out, pushed the breaker back in, did 5 flights no problems, on a flight two days ago, all of a sudden radio gets very scratchy , noise even with no transmit , warning light flashing and breaker out again, pushed the breaker in during flight, , all back to normal, 5 minutes later , breaker out, red warning light, noisy radio, turned off most electricals and flew back to my airport.
Had a mechanic doing tests yesterday and checking everything , and all was normal, so the only thing he said we should do is replace the breaker, might be old and corroded.
Any other ideas?

When the problem occurred, did you look at the volt/amp meter to see what the voltage was?

What are the make and model numbers of the alternator and regulator?

Sounds likely to be a short to ground. Possibly wire chafing on the radio circuit, worth a close inspection of the wiring.

When it happened the needle went all the way to the left, and when I pressed the button on the ammeter gauge it will show 25Volts.
Alternator is a B&C will need to check the model and regulator model and let you know

With the airplane on deck engine not running, turn on everything you normally have on in flight. Check battery voltage. If it 11 volts or lower, replace batteries.
Thought process here is this. Batteries may be bad (soft), alternator charging current then increases. After awhile breaker pops from high current load. Without alternator, battery voltage drops very low, lower in fact than the radio likes to see, and squelch level changes causing radio to "make noise".
A&P might miss soft batteries because voltage would look normal quiescent but would drop down below 12 under load.
This situation with weak batteries is common with Yaks, Sukes, and CJ's because batteries are smaller, not used for starting, and are commonly overcharged, especially if someone has two 12 volt batteries in series to get 24 vdc and then hooks up a wire to just one to get 12 volts.
Bottom line, this is a wild a__ guess, but it is an easy first thing to check. Use a good meter at the batteries.

Excuse me, I misspoke. Under load check EACH of the two batteries and verify NEITHER of them are under 11 volts.

One last comment... I just read the part about the ammeter pegging discharge. Is that right? Pegged discharge?
Anyway, another "thing" that could cause this is a defective inverter used to feed the original Attitude Gyro. When they go bad, they can draw excess current and also make a ton of RF noise (sparks) that would get into the radio receiver.
