Bud,
Great article on the Europa Flyer regarding doors. I've been struggling with closing the doors in my mono since it started flying last year so when I read the article, and saw the big bold letters stating that you should just pull down on the door, I went outside to give it a try and what a difference!
I had been doing a combination of in and down when closing the door but by only pushing the door down by using my inboard hand to squeeze between the door and the door sill it latched without much effort. Of course that means you need to have a somewhat of a strong grip but it sure is easier than what I was trying to do before.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
On the wide body mode (which I like very much) getting your fingers on that narrow door frame is a pain. In remolding the door thinning area, I mold in a slight depression for a finger grip now. Makes life easier.
Best Regards,
Bud Yerly

Thanks Bud,
For now, my sill is wide enough to be able to squeeze the door down.
But interesting that you bring up the widening mod. I have been really thinking about doing it (I have the parts) since I really don't enjoy having my arm bump against door sill. I think that if I do the mod the airplane could become reasonably confy.
Maybe one day we can chat about this further.
Best Regards,
Chris
