I made a circuit on perf board with all components and wires on the top surface so that the perf board can be be fastened directly
to aluminum without shorting out. I glued the components to the board with E6000.
When completed, I coated everything with a layer of E6000. That keeps wires apart that are not supposed to touch.
The value of R1 determines setpoint. You might want to use a POT. The light comes on at about 13.2 volts.
Choose the value of the LED resistor based on the voltage drop of your LED.
I don't need this warning light because my EFIS warns if the voltage is low.
It was a fun winter project.
