I know, I have an old Kit (2010) and the doors are a pain, but why does itneed to be more complicated. I wanted to have everything properly aligned so as less kink and friction as possible. But I did not see, that the left and right door position of the recess in the inner door are different!! teh left door the recess is starting 3/4 from the bottom, the right it starts 1/2".
I hope the newer kit have better parts 🥴
oh well another 5 hours to correct that missformed part...

Not amused Werner

and the guide blocks are the same amount off, as I have the planearound
center lock it would protrude 3/16 on the bottom so that does not work
and we will have another few hours glass work at the blocks location.

life aint simple Sad

Hi Werner,
I have the 2012 doors and I think they are the same.
In the end my measurements are not the same between the two doors, but still they open and close perfectly.
The blocks on the sides will make a difference, it is these that need to be filed down to have a perfect opening and closing.
It took me forever to make them and the outside and gap I have yet to do but I have good examples that simplify it.
Maybe one time let's get in touch

Thanks Sandro,

It's just an annoyance, that the guys building the forms for these parts are not able to build a bit more to the standard the metal parts are. I thought I could relay, but 3/16 off is outside my standard so I cut and build up new as otherwise I would not have a straight line of action between handle and rods. It would work that way but as I don't like it I spend a few more hours correcting it.

Hope your engine is coming along nice Smile

My panel is just ordered.

Cheers Werner
