Just replaced a very stiff flap handle that eventually started leaking, and now flap handle is fine but the gear handle is very hard to move!
This is only with air pressure applied. When there is no air pressure, the handles move easily.
Could there be air leaking back through the system and pushing on the wrong side of the selector disc inside the handle?

For Yak models, air from the "other side" of the gear actuator vents through the landing gear selector valve itself, so if there was air leakage through an actuator to the other side, you'd hear a hiss at your landing gear selector all the time the master air valve was turned on.
Could be the valve itself. Ask Dennis Savarese.

Kind-of sounds like the face of the selector is going bad, maybe?
Would be curious to know, too.

Yeah still stiff - useable but not optimal
Handle is now leaking pretty good in neutral position. As predicted.
Will have to replace, again. We swap dessicant every 25 hours but might have to tighten that up.

Gear Handle problems
Shoot me an email address that I can shoot some info to you. I have had the same gear handle in my plane for 5 years.
I was changing mine pretty often. I fly a CJ.
Happy to share my experience and the fix. I think you're in Australia or I would say give me a call...and you can if you would like.
