Here are the bushings required - the part numbers are McMaster Carr
https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/131/1436/6391K171
Europa Mono Wheel landing Gear Bushings
4 ea 1/4” long for LG08 arms P/N 6391K171
2 ea 1/2” long for top shock plate P/N 6391K173
2 ea 1” long for bottom shock plate P/N 6391K178
McMaster-Carr part numbers I'm sure you can find equivalent in Australia.
Europa supplied long bearings that you had to cut to length. I found that cutting them distorted them. Using the proper length bearings works a lot better.

Thanks Jim 👍
Has anybody tried using Manganese Bronze as a replacement to the Oilite units?

So after doing some initial thinking and letting the vault of forgotten knowledge murmur mumbles to me about "sintered bronze bushes" I decided to explore why I have been looking at LG08 and LG05 thinking "those bushes are way too small for that task"... So what happens within these moments? Area-51 happens...
Today the big switch to power up the laboratory was thrown over to the "ON" position and the FEA work began with formulating and testing another digital model of the Mono undercarriage; focusing on the oilite bushes.
Surprise surprise... Both LG08 and LG05 bushes both failed FEA stress testing at just 1G with a 550kg AUW. In contrast LG07 bushes passed 1G stress testing through to 3G loading. The assembly was stressed to 4G to assess material requirements.
Conclusion: incorrect material choice for component sizing resulting in accelerated failure. However they have lasted for 800 landings over a 25 year period... Will be opting for either C86400/300 manganese bronze instead of sintered bronze.
Thanks again for help with sizings and info'
