It seems to me from flights in others' planes that the control forces are not so well harmonized in the 601XL, with the elevator being significantly "lighter" than the ailerons. (I will be building a TD, and have not flown one, and it won't have the nosewheel centering system, so I really can't say how the rudder will feel.) Anyway, I was considering adding aileron spades to lighten the control feel, adjusting the size of the spades to get something more harmonious. Note that a properly designed spade would add both aerodynamic and mass balance.
I am hoping that some other builder has tried this. Anyone out there?
