I think this should be posted on every forum throughout the aviation world,
not just in the USA. A friend sent us an email today, and incorporated in
it is his description of a recent flight...
"You would certainly find flying more difficult in the UK; we are being
regulated out of existence and recent changes in CAA charges across the
board for GA have upped the price of everything. I paid £1.25 for litre of
avgas at the weekend and a landing fee of £12 at my home airfield and £12.50
at my land-away. If I had filed an IFR flight Plan I would have incurred
navigation charges too. I also pay an annual subscription for a non-person
delivered weather and NOTAM briefing service on the Internet which your FSS
provides at the end of a ‘phone."
Keep up the good work, AOPA, EAA, all the other aviation organisations and
all the type clubs the world over.

Those Far's not looking so shabby now hey, as I said a great place to fly I
agree totally Janet. As we both know unless you have felt the pain of flying
in a country other than the US it is hard to appreciate.

That is a problem with us colonist. We are short sighted and tend to forget
how good we have it.
