Deke and Don and the list members-
I need a bit of clarification regarding what happens when we add "do
not ar-----" to our posts. Does this mean that someone down the line,
looking at a particular thread, will not see the post thus marked? Will
the "not archi---" message get to the ones who chose to be served by
the digest? I get my info via email, and assume I see them all, even
the ones marked "d- no- ar-----". But how soon do all of our messages
get sent through the D N A "filter" and thus sent to never-never land?
As I hope you can tell, I avoided using the phrase "du knot rchive" to
avoid this message being so filtered....yet or ever.
I have put the operative phrase in my signature, and leave it there for
some of the stuff I comment on or write, and take it off when I think
the post should "live"...some would say I need to leave it there on all
of them. : )

Lynn,
The "Do not archive" message causes the Matronics messaging software to flag
the message as one that does not go into the archives. It will get delivered
to all subscribers, even the digest subscribers.
The problem with using that D.N.A. phrase is that if you respond to a
message that does have the "do not archive" text in it, and do not delete
the phrase, then the thread will be lost forever.
So you can use the phrase, but just be aware that when you do, a lot of good
info may be lost.

Thanks, Don...I hadn't given a thought to the re-posting of a message
with "D.N.A." included. I'll keep that in mind.
