Hi folks,
quite a while back we discussed the issue of the nose gear bungee breaking. Some of you had developed a safety stop, so that the nose gear won't go through the upper skin.
One of you designed a safety stop, that also serves to connect a tow bar. I'm very interested in the design, since I'm installing wheel pants, thus my old tow bar design wouldn't work anymore.

Thilo,
I did my safety stop/tow bar ring from an example provided by Bill
Morelli. The T-bar handle is thin 4130, 5/8-inch o.d. with an aluminum tube
riveted between it and a tube welded to a tapered flat with a 2-inch
slot and side pieces also slotted for the AN3 screws.
The ring, 3/8-inch thick, 2-inch i.d. and 3-inch o.d. was milled,
drilled and tapped to accept the connecting AN3 bolts front and rear.
The ring is cut in two
after turning and machining is complete. Wish I had better pictures to
