This is something I need to ask ZAC, but while I wait for Monday, I would like to have the list's input.

The schematics I have show the leading edge tank in place between ribs, and, on the far end (from the fuse), supported on the side by one l-angle attached to the adjacent rib, and by two l-angles forming a "Z", attached to the spar (see attached diagram).

The opposite end of the tank has no such supports.

The question is, Have you added similar supports?

Comments, anyone?

thanks in advance, and for now, do not archive.

Carlos,
My LE tank manual "supplement" for the HD wings shows the same.
Mine is one page of hand written drawings, but with the current telephone
number in Mexico, MO. What you describe is in the lower left corner of the
supplement. If you look very carefully, the L that creates the second
flange for the "new" nose rib at station 170 is on the detail at the far
right of the page. On the larger drawing in the center, if you look at the
area that is detailed on the lower right of the page, it shows a single L
close to the fuel cap. At the other end of the tank in the drawing, there
is an L in a circle pointing to a location very close, but not on the new
nose rib. At that location, I made another "Z" using 2 l-angles to hold
that end of the tank away from the spar. The drawing in that area is partly
obscured by the spar doublers.
This is a long way of saying that I just put a second Z made up of 2 Ls
at the fuselage end of the fuel tank and a strip of cork on the tank at both
locations.
