List,

I recently purchased a Kitfox 3 with model 4 wings, flaperons, and flight
controls. I really only wanted the Rotax 912 that the previous owner had
with it but he didn't want to part it out. I'm getting close to
finishing my Classic 4 and thought this would be a good follow-on project
since I've really enjoyed the building process. I've decided against
building another airplane for now (one kid in college, two more getting
closer), so I'll make someone a good deal for virtually a complete kit
minus engine. The kit was professionally powdercoated (not from the
factory though), and comes with speedster wing tips, wing false ribs, and
airfoiled tail surfaces. Wings are mostly built and have been fitted to
the fuselage. None of the parts have been covered, so you can verify the
quality of construction. Comes with cowling, firewall, engine mount for
a Rotax 912, exhaust system, some flight and engine instruments, prop,
spinner, and many other parts from the FWF kit. Any other parts needed
will be readily available from John McBean or other suppliers. The crate
is long gone, so you will need to pick it up in Colorado Springs CO.
Please email off-list for further details and to discuss price. For you
list lurkers out there, this is your chance to build your dream at a
great price. As a side note, the kitfox is a plane you really can build.
I had absolutely no previous building experience to include airplanes,
bird houses, working on cars, etc. This list and your willingness to ask
questions when you are unsure of something will allow even someone with
no prior experience to complete this kit.
