You should all be getting an explanation from RPA about the Warbird Insurance Program.
I had several discussions with Drew and appreciate his dedication to our membership and helping to explain the program.

In its present form the Warbird of America Insurance Program has been around for 10+ years.
Bob Cannon was integral in getting this program setup back in the days.
However it is open to all brokers, but nobody works the program better than an experienced warbird broker (hint: see author).

Basically the program has not changed.
* You are required to maintain EAA Warbirds membership and provide me your Warbirds member number (Most already have).
* You have to meet some basic pilot qualifications before you are eligible (500 hours total and 100 retract minimum for Yak/CJ).
* You have to make sure your broker asks the underwriter specifically to put you in the program.
I do this automatically and just force my clients to join Warbirds.
* There is a maximum lifetime discount of 25% off the basic program rates.
So, if year 1 you pay $100 and during that year get your FAST card, WINGS program, RPA Clinic, OSH Forums, etc, you could earn the max.
On year 2 you would pay 25% less or $75. But suppose during the second year you let your FAST lapse and don't do any other training.
On year 3 you would lose the discount and go back up to $100.
Moral is... Keep the FAST current, go to safety meetings and RPA events and such.
.. and no, you can't have insurance for $100.00...

For the guys and gals I have insured for many years, you are already in the program and getting these discounts (except Furball).
Feel free to call me and I can explain the program further or help you get quoted under this program.

This program works great and I have a LOT of experience in getting the discounts and credits you earn.
