A friend of mine has an electrical
problem with his Yak 52 (1986).
The 50 amp battery fuse blows
every time he gets the engine
running (the engine is brand-new),
any ideas?

If he had no problems before he changed the engine, my immediate guess
is that he had the wires hooked to the generator backwards.
