I rebuilt an very early (from a 1954 Tri-Pacer) O-320 six years ago.
Converted it to dual electronic ignition and fuel injection. 4 rebuilt 160
hp cylinders were in stalled. After one hour of ground running I was never
satisfied with the performance, too much rpm drop (250-300) and compression
check wasn't satisfactory. I just bought 4 new TITAN 150 HP cylinder
assemblies and a totally new Slick ignition system. My question-For the life
of me I can't remember how I lined up the gears on assembly per page Fig
2-7 on page 2-5 of the Lycoming Overhaul Manual. Anyway to check this out
with out taking the engine apart?
Thank You,
Bruce Bell
