Hi John
Rocket is getting really close, just finished wiring, things light up
and the smoke stays in! Have to finish engine baffling and cowling, then its
off to the hangar (CYBL - Campbell River B.C) to attach wings etc. Meantime
I've been flying my -4 as much as weather allows up in the foggy Northwest.
All
the best

Have only flown in the backseat of two Rockets. The first was behind John Harmon himself and the second (& 100 or so subsequent) was behind Gummibear. The first ride was "free", the second one cost a little money, a lot of work, blood, sweat but no tears as Gummi convinced me that building a Rocket would be FUN. IT WAS. Spent about five years building and now six years flying. Gummi said that would be FUN too, IT IS.
If money were no object we would have an F-4, T-28C & P-51D. But the HRII Rocket is the best & closest thing to those three and a whole lot cheaper to maintain, fly & hanger.
IMNSHO (In My Not So Humble Opinion) the Rocket is the best buy & ya get more bang for your buck than with ANYTHING else. KABONG N561FS

John, the Troutdale, Oregon crash two days ago reported an RV-7 Rocket. Was that accurate?

John,
After 1500 hours in my RV4 I bought a used Rocket to fix up, and early one plans # 76 N760RF. Absolutely the closest airplane to the F16 I have flown and burns less gas! Gets in and out of my 1800' strip and cruises as fast as my wallet will allow...100 hours since August...stop by FD33 anytime!
Thanks!
