Welcome to the list LeRoy. Tell us about yourself – do you have a ‘fox, or are considering getting one?

LeRoy,

Thanks for introducing yourself. This might be a good time for a reminder.
I have a spreadsheet with all the airplanes that list members have reported
to the list. I enjoy referring to it from time to time and think it might
be time for an update. I will post the spreadsheet as an attachment for
those who have not seen it. I would also be interested in adding to the
spreadsheet anyone who is building or just interested. As far as I am
concerned anyone who has in interest in the Kitfox is well within the bounds
of the fraternity. I can add catagories as need arises.

Lowell.

Hi Lowell:

I'm the proud owner of a KF Classic IV. It has a Revmaster 4 cycle engine.
It's also a taildragger (something I'm still getting used to...had a trike
before).

Let me know what other information you'd like. Also, I'd like to hear from
other Revmaster owners.

Thanks for the welcome.

Leroy

Have you had the opportunity yet to assemble any performance figures for
the plane. Cruise speed, rate of climb, fuel burn, take off distance etc.
I'd be interested to hear about the Revmaster in a Kitfox.

Lowell-
The spreadsheet is great - thanks for doing it!
My info is:
Model V Vixen, S/N 27 (in work)
Bob Swaim (51)
23813 Rolling Fork Way
Gaithersburg, Md 20882
email: dswaim1119(at)comcast.net
Would it be possible to add columns for stall/cruise/top airspeed, and maybe usefull load?
Bob

To Leroy and all.

What you submit for inclusion is based on your personal preference.

There are now columns for speeds, useful load, serial number, hours, etc.
Drop a note and I will add it.

For those still building, my guess is that engine, performance and useful
load info would be useful.

Tim:

I just replied to another Revmaster owner. Let's get our own Revmaster
posting so all of us VW guys can talk turkey (or powerplant!). I've only
flown this aircraft for about 15 hours trying to get used to it. My
previous plant was a 2 cycle 582. I haven't made any performance figures,
but an unscientific comparison is that the Revmaster is outperforming the
Rotax. Remember I'm just new at this flying stuff so if I step on anyone's
toes I don't mean it.

As I complete my winter maintenance and get back in the air (March I hope)
I'll be able to do some real testing and report back to the group.
