Hi Richard,



Long time no see.  My comments on the above would have to fall in the 

unqualified category, since I did not build either one.  But I did 

purchase an F1 kit (since sold) and I have been on the F1 builders list 

long enough to get a feel for the reaction of project owners.  I have 

talked with several RV-8 builders & owners of course.



In my opinion if ease of construction, throughness of plans and overall 

quality of kit would be the deciding factor the RV-8 is the choice.  

But if the end result is the major consideration, the F1 is your 

target.  Looks, performance, panache -- there is not much of a 

comparison in my judgment.



However, to anyone who does not relish the actually building process: 

BUY, don't build.  Here I am somewhat qualified, having done both.
