sun and fun is next week and so starts the camping season for millions of people. as a volunteer at sun fun safety is a major concern. we look at all aspects of public safety. while reading the KOA report on camping safety I learned that several people every year are killed or hurt while sleeping in there tent. the report stated most are ran over by cars or compact utility vehicles. one person was killed by being run over by a garbage truck backing over him. so If you are camping in a tent next week think about that when you are picking a spot to pitch a tent Malcolm

Geez....I guess its a good idea to bring a camper.....that way you just get pushed down the hill and end up in the lake instead of getting run over.
I would rather have thought campers to be bear or croc bait than maniac driver victims.....I guess the diference is bears and crocs are not as stupid as people can be.

Yep, Its a Lazair UL with twin Rotax 185 engines at 9hp each.
I have flown it around some but at 35mph cruise its a bit wind challenged.
The picture is at El Mirage Dry Lake in CA during my flight tests and as you can imagine it gets windy in the High Desert....a lot.
Its full 3 axis stick and rudder pedals.
Too bad the twin engine time doesnt count towards higher ratings.
You can even put floats on these and still get 400fpm climb....normal climb is about 500fpm.
Im getting a Kolb Ultrastar in its place as I just sold it.....its going to Gallatin, TN.
Looking forward to the US as it should do somewhat better in terms of cruise speed with a Cuyuna 430 and I like that it folds up and is open trailerable.
Maybe I'll even build some floats for the US.
